MP WELCOMES HEATHROW JUDICIAL REVIEW DECISION

Susan Kramer, Liberal Democrat MP for Richmond Park, and spokeswoman for the party on Heathrow, has welcomed the decision by a High Court judge to grant a hearing to the judicial review on Heathrow expansion.
The hearing is likely to be in the autumn, and will give campaigners the chance to challenge the reasons given by ministers for the approval for the third runway at Heathrow.
Susan Kramer MP commented:
"The Government is hell bent on expanding Heathrow, and is trying to ignore the devastating environmental and quality of life costs.
"But this decision sounds the death knell for the third runway.
"The tens of thousands of people who objected to the plans will feel vindicated that a high court judge has granted a judicial review.
"We all know the Government's arguments for expansion don't stand up, but we will now have the chance to expose them in public.
