on Thursday 23 February 2012

RSVP David Thorpe, davidjthorpe@yahoo.co.uk,
In the European Parliament, Sarah Ludford has been a prominent and active campaigner on measures to combat human trafficking and sexual crime and to aid the search for missing children. She is in the forefront of action on equality and diversity, and is a vocal campaigner against racist and homophobic hate crime, while upholding the right to free speech.
Sarah Ludford has been the Lib Dem MEP for London since 1999. A former councillor, she is a non-voting member of the House of Lords and Lib Dem spokeswoman on European justice and human rights issues in the European Parliament.
The talk is open to all, members and non-members. Following the success of our recent meeting on "Tackling high pay and inequality", we welcome non-members who would like to hear what their MEP is doing for disadvantaged groups.
