Why vote Liberal Democrat in Askew?

Our policies to make Askew better
1) Safer Streets - by supporting more police and community support officers on the beat and more activities for young people so they don't turn to antisocial behaviour.
2) Cleaner Streets - by getting the Council to remove flytipping, dog mess and litter across the ward as well as re-introducing FREE garden waste collection and collection of bulky items.
3) Better Transport - by supporting better bus and tube services, improving cycle lanes and cycle parking and working for improved pedestrian access.
4) Better Education - by improving school performance and increasing physical activities for children.
5) Better Environment - by campaigning to improve our borough's poor record of recycling, to improve our air quality and campaigning against expansion at Heathrow airport.
6) Better Development - by supporting proper consultation of residents, more affordable housing and sustainable developments that benefit residents.
7) Support for Local Businesses - by supporting appropriate parking regulations and visitors parking schemes, working for improvements to our "street scene" and providing support and advice about the range of government programmes available to small business.
