Stop playing games with Hammersmith Bridge!

April 2024 will mark the fifth anniversary of the closure of Hammersmith Bridge.

Lib Dem Campaigner Jelena Sarmo is calling for a deal to finally be done to reopen our Bridge. She says the community must have proper input on its future.

“The Conservative government has failed to provide their fair share of the funding” says Jelena. “Enough is enough, this must be the year that the government pays their share and gets our bridge fixed.

“The Conservative Government and Labour Council have spent half a decade arguing over funding - it’s time for all the parties involved to put forward the money needed.

“And any funding plan, especially if it involves a toll that might impact local businesses and traffic, must be subject to proper local consultation. Local residents who have suffered enough already deserve the chance to have proper input on the plan to reopen the bridge.”
